Day 231: Air Disney

Today, after much stress and technology failures caused by Apple, I needed a quick make. So I made these little Mickey and Friends paper airplanes.

Now I'm going to spend the rest of the evening poking needles into a little doll that looks a lot like Steve Jobs.

Day 230: Crazy Colorful Doodling

In Texas, I bought many wondrous things, including this notebook with a special pen that makes colorful lines. So here's a piece of art using this mysterious technology:

And here's a close-up of the flower-like part:

Whew. Posted my make with 29 minutes to spare.

Day 229: Another Smaller Purple Bear Thing

Today I made the other purple bear thing from the same kit as the one a couple days ago.

This one is smaller.

So Carol keeps the big one (on a high shelf where Bruno can't reach it and is tormented) and I keep the little one. Awwww.

Day 228: Texas Jar Drinks

Today I made some drinks in the redneck wine glasses. Carol and I named the drinks and I wrote them on magic paper.

Day 227: Stitchy Felty Fuzzy Bear

Today I got some craft kits at Michael's to fulfill my make quota for the long weekend in Texas. Here's a little hand-stitched purple bear thing with a tummy pocket.

Even though it came from a kit, it still look a good long time to make. The first two episodes of Battlestar Galactica, to be exact.

Carol didn't last that long.

Day 226: Dervish Dog

Today, I woke up at 3:30am (after a solid 3 hours of sleep), got driven to the airport by my awesome nephew Zachary, flew to Houston with an assortment of obnoxious passengers, including a baby who kicked me in the head, got picked up by my awesome friend Carol, went shopping, ate a lot, drove past the World's Tallest Statue of an American Hero, and watched Carol's crazy dog Bruno run in circles in the bathroom.

So I have made an animated GIF of this peculiar event, so I wouldn't be alone in experiencing it.

Day 225: A Thing for Holding Stuff

There's a lot of stuff at the library that gets thrown away. Today, I rescued this box that held a book.

And I added some scrapbook paper and ended up with a thing to hold stuff.

And here's a view of the back and the bottom.

I'm not sure what I'll use it for, but I have lots of stuff, so it's always good to have one more thing to hold stuff.
