Day 318: Saturday Night Booze-a-Rama

Today I made a drink in honor of my most awesomey kickass friend Karol with a K.

It's made of strawberry vodka, peach schnapps, and monster energy drink.

I'm not sure what to call it, except "Karol is Awesome and Kicks Major Ass and is my Hero and has the crazy energy of a Monster."

Yes. It's yummers.

Day 317: Origami Hat or Something

Today I made a nifty little origami shape. It's kind of pyramidal.

I'm not sure what it's for.

Boris is pretty sure it's a hat.

Day 316: Origami Something or Other

Today I did some fancy origami moves on a strip of paper.

I'm not really sure what it is or what it's for.

But it's kinda pretty. Even on the back.

Day 315: State Nicknames

Today's map includes my interpretations of each state's nickname. I had to get a little creative on some of them. And nobody seems to know what a Hoosier is. On the plus side, I learned what a Sooner is. And if you're really nice to me, I'll tell you.

I like making these little map things. I'd welcome suggestions for other things to put in each state. Maybe one day I'll have enough for a whole book. Of course, I could never publish it, because all my images are thieved from random internet sites and I would get thrown in the big house for copyright infringement. But that won't stop me from making them for fun.

Day 314: Little Fishy

It's the Pi Day of my make year, but today's make has nothing to do with pie.

Today I made an origami fish.

I kind of want to make an army of little square plaid fish.

Day 313: Anaphylactic Shot

What happens when you combine two popular allergies? A tasty beverage, of course.

Take a bit of honey liqueur (for the bee sting) and a bit of homemade peanut vodka, and you get what I call the Anaphylactic Shot.

It's yummy. The honey and peanut flavors blend together nicely. Yeah. They blend.

This would make a nice sipping drink over ice, or maybe a martini. Now I have to think of other drinksperiments for my big jug o'honey liqueur. And it looks like it's about time to whip up another batch of peanut vodka. And maybe buy some nice bottles so I seem less like a hillbilly with a still.

Day 312: Cake on a Stick

Today I made something I've been planning to make for a long time. Finally, with the extra hour today, I was able to find the time.

These are cake pops. Cake pop monsters, to be exact.

Mat helped me add the candy coating and eyeballs.

The coating wasn't thin enough for real dipping, so we kind of slathered it on with spoons and toothpicks.

The eyeballs are Sixlets candies, and we painted on pupils with little droplets of black frosting.

On the insides, these little critters have double fudge chocolate cake crumbled and mixed with vanilla frosting.

And the green is those little candy wafers, vanilla flavored, in the awesomest green color ever.

Now I just have 17 cake pops to eat.
